One of the things that was very important to us was that the remodel complimented our older home. We have had many neighbors stop in and give us compliments on the work that was done. We are highly satisfied and recommend Frontier Builders to anyone that needs work done. – Dutch B.
We are very satisfied with Frontier Builders’ work and always recommend them to people who are needing work done on their home. – Gunnar G.
Mr. Kent Weed, owner of Frontier Builders, was contracted by Grace of Calvary Baptist Church to design and construct and a large two-tier planter for the entrance of our church’s drive-through entrance. He used ornamental block and also installed 3 large flag poles. He did an exceptional job with which we are completely satisfied. Mr. Weed is an honest businessman, is great to work with and does an outstanding job. I highly recommend him and his company for any type of construction or landscape work you may need, whether commercial or residential. – George A.

We recently needed a lot of work done on our basement, and needed it done at short notice. Kent and his team were very responsive and moved to accommodate all our requests. They were respectful of our home, paid attention to every detail with great care, and we now have a basement that we love to spend time relaxing in. We would use Kent again for home renovations in a heartbeat and highly recommend Frontier Builders to anyone looking for reasonable, careful and superior work done in their home. – Angus N.
Top quality workmanship, honest, and dependable. – James E.
In April 2008 Kent Weed of Frontier Builders contacted me with a project house he had located. Kent asked for me to walk through an 1890’s era farm house on a rural farmstead. The 2500 plus square foot house was in a state of disrepair and uninhabitable as shown to me. Kent and I spent over an hour on the first walk through. Kent listened and took plenty of notes of the ideas that I had listed that I would require if I was to proceed with the purchase of the property. Kent prepared a bid and budget to completely gut interior of house. The bid included new modern electrical service in addition to rewiring the entire house, and to completely remove and modernize the plumbing of the house. Along with using high density spray foam insulation to seal the entire house, he replaced all ceilings and walls with modern drywall in replacing the old lathe and plaster interior. Kent also was to be responsible for replacing all the interior trim with period correct wood trim. The job also included the relocating and expanding of two full bathrooms. The complete replacing of the kitchen cabinets and fixtures was also included. Structural reinforcing of the foundation and rotten floor joists were the beginning of the entire project. The exterior work that was required was new drainage lines around the house to move downspout water from entering the house. I also asked that the dirt floor in the three bay garage be replaced with concrete. The narrow, small gravel driveway was to be widen[ed] and replaced with asphalt millings. Once financing was in place Kent was prepared with the contract and allowances/budgets in place for all phases of this project. Once the contract was signed and a begin date was given, Kent provided me with a timeline and expected completion date for the project. Kent was timely in completing required tasks on time. As with any project unforeseen things and changes came up throughout, but Kent’s communication and follow up with necessary paperwork was extremely thorough. The jobsite was kept as clean and as tidy as possible throughout and every effort was made to make sure it was picked [up] at the end of the day. Kent’s use of sub-contractors whose work and conduct reflected the same quality [as] Kent’s work shows was impeccable. Kent would always take time to listen to my ideas and help work through the problems to present the best possible options to the keep the project moving forward. Kent’s use of quality materials was very satisfying in knowing that he would not try to cut corners or to skimp on the job. Kent has a very critical eye for proper building techniques; it was almost a detriment on this project as Kent wanted everything to be straight and true, which is nearly impossible in a house as old as this one is. Kent would cringe every time the old phrase “They sure don’t build them like they used to” was bantered on the jobsite. Kent’s personal talent for carpentry [really] shines through in his attention to detail in the finish trim work he completed throughout this house. There has not been a single person who has walked through this house that has not complimented me one the color, style, or finish of the trim. Thank You!!! Kent’s talent, communication and dedication to restoring my house has been truly a blessing for myself and my entire family. I continue to consult Kent on future projects and would not have second thoughts about having Kent take on any project not matter the size and scope. I do not have any reservations about referring Kent to anybody for any task they may have. Kent, may God bless all your endeavors. – Brian T.
